Introduction

Figure is seeking an Accountant Intern to join its growing finance team. This part-time, onsite internship in Reno, NV, offers valuable hands-on experience in accounting operations, supporting the completion of the annual financial statement audit, and bringing theoretical knowledge to life with real-world data. The internship is scheduled from mid-late January to May 2022.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to daily accounting operations, including processing accounts payable, recording journal entries, and preparing financial statements.
• Interact with auditors to understand audit processes and requests.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounting processes to support internal controls.
• Participate in finance team meetings to understand internal management budgeting and forecasting processes.

Requirements

• Declared major in Accounting.
• Completion of at least one intermediate accounting course.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Analytical mindset and ability to apply accounting concepts to assigned tasks.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
