As a Vice President of Full-Stack Engineering, you will lead the evolution of financial applications by blending deep technical expertise with AI-assisted development. This position focuses on architecting and maintaining sophisticated systems where traditional Java excellence meets the speed of modern vibe coding. You'll move beyond manual boilerplate, using natural language tools to orchestrate complex equity trading platforms.

Responsibilities

Lead the evolution of financial applications.
Architect and maintain sophisticated systems using traditional Java excellence and modern vibe coding techniques.
Utilize natural language tools to orchestrate complex equity trading platforms.
Guide the implementation of backend systems (Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs) optimized through prompt engineering.
Guide the implementation of frontend systems (Angular, TypeScript) for high-stakes user experiences.
Guide the implementation of data and messaging systems (Kafka, SQL Server) managed with AI-assisted troubleshooting.
Mentor junior developers on the effective use of GitHub Copilot and other AI coding assistants.
Define how vibe coding scales within the securities industry.
Ensure production-grade code remains clean, testable, and efficient.
Push the boundaries of what AI can achieve in a fast-paced Agile setting.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Deep technical expertise in Java and full-stack development.
Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
Experience with Angular and TypeScript.
Familiarity with Kafka and SQL Server.
Experience with prompt engineering and AI-assisted troubleshooting.
Leadership experience, including mentoring junior developers.
Experience with GitHub Copilot or other AI coding assistants.
Understanding of Agile methodologies.
Experience in the financial services or securities industry is highly desirable.
