Introduction

As a Test Automation Consultant at AUTO|Q, you bridge the gap between development and testing. With your technical skills, programming expertise, passion for quality, and knowledge of the testing process, you can effectively and efficiently integrate the right test tools and frameworks into the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Help and guide teams in setting up and improving their test automation.
• Support teams in integrating testing into automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct risk analyses to determine the appropriate test automation approach with the client and proactively manage risks.
• Design and implement contract testing in a microservices environment to help clients optimize their chain testing efforts.
• Train teams in best practices for test automation.
• Help your team gain better insight into how end-users use their software using "shift right" techniques.

Requirements

• Proven work experience in a similar role.
• Experience with setting up and implementing various test automation frameworks and tools.
• Proficiency in one or more programming and scripting languages.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and DevOps methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills, capable of translating complex issues into practical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, able to persuade stakeholders at various levels.
• Possess a TMap and/or ISTQB certificate.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Proficient in Dutch, both written and spoken.
• Able to express yourself well in English.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have
