Technical Information Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Ensure the implementation of the Information Security Policy within the organization.
• Advise the organization on issues, changes, and incidents.
• Advise and guide colleagues at various levels regarding information security.
• Act as a sparring partner for ISOs in other departments.
• Prepare reports for IT Management.

Requirements

• HBO (higher vocational education) working and thinking level.
• Minimum of three years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
• Current and in-depth knowledge of the IT domain.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with guidelines such as ISO 27001 or similar.
• Certifications such as CISSP and/or CISM are a plus.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

The organization is looking for an Information Security Officer with extensive knowledge, experience, and dedication in the field of information security. As an ISO, you will work within a security team of 30 colleagues. Together with the team, you will be a sparring partner for ISOs in other departments and provide solicited and unsolicited advice to colleagues across various departments and levels of the organization. You will enforce information security policies in projects and management, advise on incidents, changes, and problems, and use your technical background to apply policies and translate them into technical solutions.
