Responsibilities

As a Technical Administrator, you will be responsible for:

Managing and optimizing technically complex applications within multiple DevOps teams.
Understanding and monitoring integrations between various business-critical systems.
Analyzing log files, data streams (XML/APIs), and application linkages.
Identifying risks within a fully automated chain.
Participating in the migration of two legacy systems to one new future-proof platform.
Contributing to the transition to a new integration platform.
Performing risk and impact analyses for changes within the OTAP (Development, Test, Acceptance, Production) environment.
Collaborating intensively with subject matter specialists and various disciplines within the organization.

Requirements

As a Technical Administrator, you possess:

HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level.
Relevant work experience as a Technical Application Administrator or a similar integration-focused role.
Experience with complex data streams, system linkages, and chain dependencies.
Knowledge of databases (e.g., Oracle/SQL) is a plus.
Experience with integration platforms is a welcome bonus.
An understanding of how changes in one system affect other systems.
Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
Experience within a laboratory or production environment is a plus, but not a strict requirement.

About Company

As a Technical Administrator, you will work for an internationally operating organization in the Apeldoorn region, active within a highly specialized research and production environment. The IT systems are the heart of the primary process. Everything is fully automated and highly intertwined, from registration and processing to reporting and customer portals. A change in one system can have a direct impact on multiple other systems. This makes the environment technically challenging and responsible.

The IT department consists of approximately 30 professionals, divided into multiple DevOps teams. Within these teams, technical application specialists collaborate on a hybrid infrastructure. The majority runs on-premises, supplemented with cloud solutions. Work is carried out within a complete OTAP environment, and the application landscape has many interdependencies and integrations. The organization is also undergoing modernization. Legacy systems are being consolidated, and the integration landscape is being designed to be future-proof.

The organization has many different disciplines, including academically trained specialists and content experts. This requires a Technical Administrator who is firm in their approach. You must dare to engage in discussions and be able to reduce complex issues to practical, executable solutions. Communication skills and the ability to oversee the entire IT chain are essential here.
