About the Position

Introduction

As a Techlead Data, you will lead a team of specialists within Data Engineering or Data Science. You will be the crucial link between the team, the client, the principal, and stakeholders. We are looking for a driven and experienced Data Engineer/Scientist with a strong drive and vision to design and implement innovative data solutions. You are an expert in various data technologies and methodologies and are able to translate complex data issues into concrete solutions, with a clear vision for the future of data. You will mentor your team members, from Young Professionals to experienced Rockstars.

Responsibilities

Lead and guide a team of Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and/or Machine Learning Engineers.
Foster continuous professional growth and development within the team.
Act as a technical expert and mentor for team members, from Young Professionals to experienced Rockstars.
Develop and implement advanced data architectures, platforms, and pipelines.
Identify and evaluate new data technologies and tools.
Proactively contribute to the organization's data strategy and translate it into executable projects.
Manage the technical aspects of data projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
Effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders, and other teams regarding project status, technical challenges, and solutions.
Ensure high quality and punctuality of delivered data solutions.
Responsible for the quality assurance of data solutions and ensuring best practices.
Drive innovation by implementing new data-driven techniques and methodologies.
Continuously stay informed about the latest developments in the data landscape and share this knowledge within the organization.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership or coaching role.
In-depth knowledge and experience with various data technologies, such as Python, SQL, Spark, Kafka, AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake.
Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing data architectures, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data warehouses.
Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proactive attitude, problem-solving ability, and a strong focus on quality and results.
Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
