About the Position

Responsibilities

Manage, coach, and further develop a team of network and event specialists.
Act as the technical point of contact for network-related issues within the organization.
Translate business needs into suitable network solutions and advise stakeholders and management accordingly.
Monitor the quality, continuity, and future-proofness of the network infrastructure.
Initiate and guide improvements in networking, security, monitoring, and automation.
Support the team with complex network incidents and technical escalations when necessary.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, project teams, and external vendors to ensure network services optimally align with the organization.
Promote standardization, documentation, and process improvements within the network domain.
Contribute ideas for the further development of network services, cloud connectivity, and new technologies.

Requirements

HBO (higher vocational education) working and thinking level.
Several years of experience within complex enterprise network environments.
Experience with Cisco networks or a comparable enterprise networking environment.
Knowledge of routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, network security, and network architecture.
Experience with coaching, guiding, or managing colleagues.
Ability to translate technical issues into understandable advice for management and stakeholders.
Affinity with cloud connectivity (Azure and/or AWS) and modern security principles.
Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and ability to maintain an overview in a complex environment.
Good command of the Dutch language.
Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Preferred:

Certifications such as CCNP or CCIE.
Experience with network automation or Infrastructure as Code.
