System Test Engineer

Introduction

Do you want to play a crucial role at the Dutch Ministry of Defense without becoming a soldier? Become a Test Engineer! Join our multidisciplinary team to ensure the crucial network infrastructure, directly impacting national and international peace and security.

Responsibilities

As a System Test Engineer within the High Classified Information Provision (HGI) department, you will contribute to securing the global network infrastructure used for command and information exchange across various departments and organizations, including national and international Defense, NATO, and other partnerships. Your role ensures reliable and fast information availability for operational C2 support, which is vital for the safety and flexibility of our military personnel.

Your team operates within the 'System Development' section, focusing on the continuous development of HGI networks. We work in multidisciplinary Agile teams to deliver short-cycle results.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating on test-driven requirements, architecture, and design.
• Developing and executing test plans.
• Setting up automated tests where possible.
• Verifying the automated priming and staging process against functional and non-functional requirements.
• Reporting test results and creating user documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable experience in testing Windows and Linux systems.
• Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable experience configuring Windows Server 2012/2016, Active Directory, Group Policies, Exchange 2013/2016, SharePoint 2016/2019, DNS, WSUS, Applocker, ADFS, SSCM, SCOM, and Office.
• Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable experience applying Agile methodologies in a multidisciplinary team.
• HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level with 2 years of demonstrable work experience in information technology or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

• Microsoft Windows Server 2016, VMware, or Nutanix certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience writing scripts in PowerShell.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience within the IT/OT domain.

Benefits

For this position, you will be placed in scale 10, step 8. This equates to €65,850 per year based on a 38-hour work week.

In addition to your salary, you will receive an annual bonus of 8.3% (thirteenth month). Civilian employees also receive a monthly gross allowance for health insurance. Besides a pension scheme with ABP, you will receive a monthly allowance for commuting or can opt for a public transport pass with unlimited travel throughout the Netherlands under favorable conditions.
