Introduction

Join Listen Labs as the foundational lead for Strategic Finance and Business Operations. This high-impact hybrid role, based in San Francisco, will involve designing the company’s financial architecture and executing mission-critical operational projects. As the first dedicated hire in this function, you will build complex three-statement models and define long-term pricing and market entry strategies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the company’s financial architecture.
• Execute mission-critical operational projects.
• Build complex three-statement financial models.
• Define the company's long-term pricing and market entry strategies.
• Leverage SQL and Python to build real-time reporting dashboards and automated workflows.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools (vibe coding) to bridge financial theory and functional software.
• Work directly with founders and leadership to shape financial DNA and operational infrastructure.
• Develop data-driven frameworks to inform board decks, fundraising rounds, and M&A decisions.

Requirements

• Experience in Strategic Finance and Business Operations.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, including three-statement models.
• Strong analytical skills with an ability to define long-term pricing and market entry strategies.
• Familiarity with SQL and Python for data analysis and automation.
• An understanding of AI-assisted development tools is preferred (vibe coding).
• Ability to thrive in a high-velocity, startup environment.

Nice to Have

• Background in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Consulting.
• Experience with BI Tools.
• Knowledge of Fundraising and Investor Relations.
• Expertise in Market Analysis and Cost Optimization.
