About the Position

Faire is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Server team. As a Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of large-scale, high-performance, and reliable systems. You will work across teams to define and drive the technical direction of our server infrastructure, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the overall technical vision of the company. This role demands a strong background in distributed systems, API design, and a dedication to writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

Role

As an engineer on the team, you will:

Design and implement high-performance, reliable, and scalable server-side systems.
Lead technical projects from conception to launch, including defining requirements, designing architecture, and overseeing implementation.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver impactful features.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and best practices.
Contribute to the overall technical vision and strategy of the company.
Champion best practices for server development, including code quality, testing, and deployment.
