Figma is a collaborative interface design tool. We are building a browser-based, collaborative design tool to help teams create, share, test, and deliver better designs. Our small (but mighty) engineering team is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to help build our Integrations platform. This is a critical role for us, as Integrations are a top strategic priority that extends Figma beyond its core product. We’re still in the early innings here, but the potential is huge. Integrations enable other products to connect and interact programmatically with Figma, unlocking powerful workflows that augment and automate what’s possible with the design tool. The Integrations team works across the product to build APIs (REST and Webhooks today - exploring GraphQL for the future), client libraries, SDKs, and developer portals that help developers build amazing things with Figma. This role specifically is for a new team focused on building out rich integrations with 3rd party partners. Think Slack, Jira, Notion, Google, Microsoft, Adobe – the opportunities are endless. Integrations with these partners range from surfacing Figma content/editing within other apps, to importing/exporting content with Figma, to enabling deeply embedded workflows across apps. We expect this team to rapidly deliver new experiences, explore emerging opportunities, and pave the way for other teams in Figma to build robust integrations with 3rd parties. We are looking for an experienced technical leader who is passionate about building platforms and ecosystems. You will have a profound impact on one of the company's biggest strategic bets and work on a high-leverage area that helps shape Figma for years to come. What you'll do at Figma: Design and implement core APIs and services that power our integrations platform; Partner closely with product management and design to shape the long-term vision of our integrations strategy; Lead by example, write high-quality, well-tested code, and apply best practices across the team; Mentor and grow junior engineers, share your expertise, and elevate the technical capabilities of the team; Drive technical strategy and roadmap for the integrations platform; Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure our integrations seamlessly interact with all parts of the Figma product.
