Introduction

As a Staff Engineer on the Agent Platform team at Replit, you will lead the development of the infrastructure enabling natural language application building. This role involves architecting the 'Multiplayer Computer,' a real-time environment for human developers and AI agents to interact with shared filesystems and shells. Your work will connect core AI logic with user experiences, making the Replit Agent a powerful tool for developers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of infrastructure for building apps through natural language.
• Architect the 'Multiplayer Computer' enabling real-time interaction between human developers and AI agents.
• Bridge the gap between core AI logic and seamless user experiences.
• Tackle complex systems engineering problems, such as high-throughput streaming services and conflict-free collaborative state management.
• Deep dive into CRDTs, event sourcing, and Linux systems engineering.
• Build durable interfaces and implement protocols like MCP to define how AI tools interact with code.

Requirements

• Systems-level thinker.
• Ability to value pragmatic, incremental shipping.
• Interest in democratizing programming through AI.
• Proven experience in systems engineering and platform development.
• Familiarity with CRDTs, event sourcing, and Linux systems engineering.

Nice to Have
