About the Position

Introduction

Polymarket is seeking a Staff Product Designer to join their team. This high-impact, high-autonomy role involves defining the product's direction and crafting the core user experience from first principles within a fast-growing prediction market platform.

Responsibilities

Lead with autonomy: Define and drive design work from scratch, identify priorities, raise the quality bar, and collaborate closely with engineers and leadership to bring ideas to life.
Design for clarity and depth: Make powerful tools related to prediction markets, finance, and social networks feel accessible, intuitive, and engaging.
Prototype quickly and test ideas: Utilize tools like Figma, Cursor, and light code to explore concepts, validate assumptions, and refine interfaces based on real feedback.
Develop insights through research: Engage with users, analyze behavior, and extract meaningful patterns to inform product direction.
Define and evolve our design system: Create standards and systems to maintain product cohesion as it grows.
Act as a force-multiplier: Elevate standards through your own work and by modeling excellent thinking, process, and collaboration across the company.

Requirements

10+ years of experience designing high-quality consumer products, ideally in early-stage or zero-to-one environments.
A portfolio demonstrating system-level thinking and attention to detail.
Strong visual and interaction design skills, with fluency in tools like Figma, Cursor, or V0.
Clear, thoughtful communication for sharing work, making a case, and creating presentations.
A bias towards ownership and action, with the ability to identify what matters even when the path is unclear.
Deep curiosity about markets, incentives, and the future of truth.
