Solutions Consultant, Supply Chain

Introduction

Dataiku is seeking a Solutions Consultant specializing in Retail and CPG with extensive expertise in Supply Chain to join its Business Solutions team. This role involves acting as a Subject Matter Expert for Retail and CPG, driving the development of data, analytics, and AI solutions from concept through to market launch. The Solutions Consultant will play a crucial part in accelerating Dataiku's growth in the Retail and CPG sector, collaborating with various internal teams and industry partners.

Responsibilities

Retail & CPG Subject Matter Expertise

• Articulate Dataiku's unique value proposition for Retail and CPG firms and ensure effective communication by internal and external teams.
• Develop materials outlining how Dataiku can assist Retail and CPG firms in addressing business and organizational challenges through Data and AI, focusing primarily on Supply Chain and secondarily on Marketing and Customer Care.
• Support the synthesis of internal knowledge and client experiences within Retail and CPG, including adoption stories and use cases, by creating relevant materials for internal and external sharing.
• Aid sales and customer activities targeting Retail and CPG firms, acting as a key spokesperson for prospects and customers and facilitating executive engagement for this client segment.
• Enhance Dataiku's reputation as a valuable thought-partner for Retail and CPG firms.
• Collaborate with other Industry Subject Matter Experts to maximize collective impact.

Supply Chain Project & Demo Delivery

• Identify gaps and define priorities in existing assets (demos, solutions, applications), establishing the corresponding roadmap.
• Develop tailored project demos within Dataiku for specific Supply Chain personas.
• Pinpoint impactful datasets to customize demos and solutions for various customer scenarios.
• Update and create go-to-market materials for Supply Chain projects or solutions, including slides, website content, and blog posts.
• Adapt existing Business Solutions or presentations for specific Supply Chain functions, with an emphasis on logistics (e.g., warehouse optimization, dynamic slotting, route optimization, fleet predictive maintenance).

Solutions Development

• Contribute to and qualify the solutions development pipeline through business insights, client workshops, market research, and partnership discussions.
• Work with the solutions team (Product, R&D, UX, Partnerships, Data Scientists, etc.) to ensure timely development of relevant projects, including off-the-shelf solution design, customer co-builds, and partnership launches.
• Lead these initiatives as a business and project manager, ensuring smooth project execution, internal team alignment, and management of critical dependencies.
• Support the global rollout of existing and new solutions by structuring documentation, enabling internal teams, managing customer interactions, and creating go-to-market materials.

Requirements

Experience & Background

• 7–10 years of experience in Retail & CPG roles within the AI domain, with a proven history of delivering and implementing end-to-end AI-embedded solutions for supply chain.
• Deep understanding of the Retail & CPG value chain and related AI use cases, particularly in supply chain, marketing, and customer functions.
• Strong knowledge of Supply Chain tools, functions, and their associated AI capabilities, needs, and pain points.
• Strong business acumen and successful experience addressing complex transformation challenges.
• Experience working within or directly supporting Go-To-Market and leadership teams.

Skills & Competencies

• Proven track record of delivering data, analytics, and AI projects in the Supply Chain area, with a hands-on approach.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Data Scientists.
• Capability to provide detailed recommendations and clear guidance, coupled with a willingness to build and deliver projects directly.
• Proven ability to work with diverse teams and successfully engage them on complex or specialized topics.
• Very strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and support associated teams.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate and present complex situations and concepts to varied audiences.
• Open to new ideas and topics; capable of quickly delving into unfamiliar subjects to assess their relevance.
• Based on the US East Coast.
