About the Position

Introduction

Backbase is an industry-leading omnichannel banking solution provider, empowering financial institutions to transform their digital customer interactions. We are looking for a highly skilled Solution Architect to join our Business Development Centre (BDC) in Hyderabad. In this role, you will design and architect customer solutions based on the Backbase Omnichannel Banking Platform, collaborating with various teams and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet customer needs and align with product vision.

Responsibilities

Design and architect customer solutions using the Backbase Omnichannel Banking Platform across diverse tech stacks.
Proactively research and stay current with new technologies, both within and outside the existing platform, to propose innovative solutions.
Provide technical leadership to teams leveraging deep knowledge of the Backbase platform.
Support the sales team by offering accurate effort estimations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of solution designs, risks, and proposed technologies throughout the project lifecycle.
Remain involved pre- and post-sales to guide solution development and ensure successful completion.
Collaborate with other architects to ensure proper alignment and a cohesive vision across all solutions.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in software development.
5+ years of experience leading and architecting medium to large enterprise projects.
Profound knowledge of Java and Spring.
Experience with frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, or similar.
Extensive experience with Microservices-based solutions, DevOps, API, and integration (SOAP, REST, Microservices).
Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes & Docker) running on Public Clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Strong understanding of Enterprise Integration Patterns.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
High social intelligence and ability to operate effectively in a culturally diverse environment.
Familiarity with industry standards (OAuth, SAML, JWT, OpenId Connect, etc.).
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
