Responsibilities

As a Solution Architect, your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, documenting, and implementing high- and low-level design functionalities for video conferencing services.
• Identifying release changes and assessing their consequences.
• Defining requirements and translating them into building blocks.
• Managing System Engineers.

Requirements

To succeed as a Solution Architect, you should possess the following:

• A minimum of HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level.
• Extensive experience in network infrastructure.
• Extensive experience in establishing architecture, high-level, and low-level designs.
• Preferably familiar with tools such as Enterprise Studio by Bizzdesign.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or DevOps.
• Proficient communication skills in both Dutch and English.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

About Company

As a Solution Architect, you will join a nationally operating organization in the Deventer/Apeldoorn area. They are constantly evolving and always implementing the latest innovations. The organization handles large amounts of data, serving both B2B and B2C markets, and is a pioneer in its field of expertise. The applications running on their platform impact millions of people in the Netherlands, and the organization itself has thousands of colleagues.

You will be part of a team of approximately 10 colleagues responsible for various platforms, including a Cisco platform. This team focuses on providing platforms that enable tens of thousands of people to communicate via video and audio. You can imagine the many challenges involved, particularly concerning security and availability. These platforms are rolled out nationally for use in various locations across the country. Additionally, the team develops telephony and mobile device platforms, with video and telephony increasingly integrated for collaboration.

There is currently a need for an experienced Solution Architect within the team. You will focus on the design, documentation, and implementation of high- and low-level designs for video conferencing services. You will also identify release changes, assess their consequences, and verify them with colleagues. Furthermore, you will define requirements and translate them into building blocks, which will then be realized by System Engineers. You will be responsible for overseeing this realization and, together with the Product Owner, determine priorities in an Agile manner.

What's exciting is that the organization already operates at a very high level in video and audio solutions, leading to requests to roll this out nationally to other large organizations. You will be devising and developing solutions that will soon go live at various large organizations across the Netherlands!
