Solution Architect (Cloud, Integration, Digital Transformation)

Introduction

As a Solution Architect within our consultancy organization, you will design and implement IT solutions for complex challenges at leading organizations. You will ensure that architecture not only works on paper but also in practice. You operate at the intersection of architecture and delivery, translating business needs into scalable, robust, and implementable solutions. You will work on issues such as designing integrations, modernizing applications, or realizing cloud-native solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop application, integration, and data architectures, bridging the gap between business and IT and clearly justifying design choices.
• Make technical decisions and determine solution directions, weighing quality, feasibility, and speed.
• Guide development and delivery teams during implementation, responding to changing insights.
• Integrate systems and modernize existing application landscapes.
• Realize cloud-native and platform-based solutions.

Requirements

We are looking for Solution Architects who are energized by designing and implementing IT solutions in complex environments. We value potential, interest, and motivation. You don't have to master everything, but you recognize yourself in the following points:

• Strong analytical skills and a structured approach.
• Ability to think conceptually and translate this into practical designs.
• Technically strong, making well-founded choices and translating them into concrete solution directions.

• A connecting link between teams and stakeholders, able to engage people with your vision.
• Comfortable in a dynamic project environment.
• Take responsibility for the quality, coherence, and feasibility of solutions.

Your background and expertise:

• A completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in an IT-related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in solution architecture, software development, or similar roles within complex environments.
• Experience with architectural methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Agile Architecture, ArchiMate).
• Experience with:
  • Application and integration architecture.
  • Cloud-native and platform architectures (e.g., Azure or AWS).
  • Software development and delivery.
  • Migration and transition architecture.
• Experience with both agile and more traditional delivery models.
• Experience with modernizing existing application landscapes and realizing new (greenfield) solutions.
• Demonstrable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical domains and the ability to apply this effectively in solutions.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Experience with stakeholder management within projects.
• Ability to clearly explain and justify design choices.
• Think from a consulting and client perspective and consider the organizational context.
• Collaboration-oriented and hands-on.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

• A permanent contract and a salary between €4,500 and €6,500 gross per month (based on 40 hours per week). The exact classification depends on your experience and the role.
