Are you eager to make a real societal impact and further develop yourself as an expert in architecture? Then you are the Solution Architect we are looking for.

At ilionx, the Solution Architect is a strategic and substantive advisor who assists our clients with complex issues. You act as the crucial link between business and IT, translating (client) needs into concrete architecture. Your versatility will be utilized across various projects, from drafting a cloud strategy and technical architecture for an entirely new software landscape, to modernizing an existing application portfolio. You will advise on complex chain integrations, data landscapes, platform choices, and cybersecurity. You will work closely with our clients and internal teams to design and implement the best solutions. In addition to your advisory role with clients, you will also contribute to knowledge sharing within ilionx by giving presentations and workshops. You will make a significant contribution to ilionx's vision, strategy, and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on complex IT challenges, bridging the gap between business and technology.
• Translate client needs into concrete architectural designs.
• Develop cloud strategies and technical architectures for new software landscapes.
• Modernize existing application portfolios.
• Provide expert advice on complex chain integrations, data landscapes, platform choices, and cybersecurity.
• Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams for solution design and implementation.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing within ilionx through presentations and workshops.
• Play a key role in ilionx's vision, strategy, and innovation.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role as a Solution Architect or comparable position.
• Completed HBO or university education in Computer Science or a comparable relevant field of study.
• In-depth knowledge of architecture principles, methods, and tools (e.g., TOGAF, Archimate).
• Experience with various technologies and platforms, such as cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP), (micro)services, API management, data architecture, and security.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complex problems and translate them into clear solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to interact with different stakeholder levels.
• Intrinsically motivated to continuously develop yourself and contribute to innovation.
• Proactive attitude and capable of working independently and taking responsibility.
• Possess certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect (Google), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Microsoft), AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (Amazon), and/or TOGAF and Archimate, or be willing to obtain them.
