Solidity Developer: GMX Fork on zkSync Era

Introduction

We are seeking a talented Solidity Developer to fork the GMX decentralized exchange (DEX) onto the zkSync Era blockchain. This contract-based role will primarily focus on adapting the existing GMX smart contracts and modifying the user interface (UI) for seamless integration with zkSync. We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of DeFi protocols and blockchain development.

Responsibilities

• Adapt and deploy GMX smart contracts to the zkSync Era blockchain.
• Implement necessary modifications to the smart contracts for compatibility and optimization on zkSync.
• Collaborate on significant UI/UX changes to the frontend for a customized user experience.
• Ensure the security and efficiency of the protocol on the new chain.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of smart contracts and front-end integration.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Solidity smart contract development.
• Strong understanding of DeFi protocols, particularly DEX mechanics (e.g., GMX, Uniswap).
• Familiarity with the zkSync Era network and its unique features.
• Experience with front-end development (e.g., React, Next.js, or similar) for UI modifications.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality code.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience forking or adapting existing DeFi protocols.
• Contributions to open-source blockchain projects.
• Understanding of Layer 2 scaling solutions.
