Introduction

At Mercury, we are dedicated to creating an exceptional banking experience for startups. Our product engineering group is expanding and actively seeking talented backend and full-stack engineers. We are a team of pragmatic, product-minded individuals driven by a desire to build lovable products that liberate our customers from outdated and frustrating industry tools.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate a strong sense of product ownership and proactively seek responsibility; we often self-organize on projects and seek someone eager to help shape and build Mercury's future.
• Operate within an autonomous, close-knit team, fostering a "startup within a startup" environment.
• Collaborate closely with designers and product leaders to deliver outstanding user experiences that redefine banking and fintech software standards.
• Join an experienced team of product engineers within one of Mercury's product groups (Banking, Everyday Experiences, Expansion, Risk).

Requirements

• 1-4 years of experience in backend or full-stack development.
• Knowledge of or enthusiasm to learn Haskell, React, TypeScript, and Redux.
• Passionately product-minded with proven experience in building and launching new products.
• Possess strong empathy for users, enabling the creation of engaging and lovable products.
• Ability to balance trade-offs and devise creative solutions to achieve goals.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with peers and cross-functional teams.
