The software engineering team at Invitae is transforming genetic testing to improve healthcare for all. You’ll be a key part of our team that is responsible for building and maintaining the backend systems that power new customer acquisition, customer engagement, and business expansion. Role
As a Software Engineer II on the Growth team, you will:
<ul> <li>Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.</li> <li>Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend services and APIs using Python, Django, and PostgreSQL.</li> <li>Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and debug production issues, providing timely and effective solutions.</li> <li>Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes, tools, and infrastructure.</li> <li>Mentor junior engineers and share your knowledge with the team.</li> </ul>Apply Now

Compensation
The estimated base salary range for this role is between $142,000 and $164,000. Actual salary will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Employees are eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and stock options, in addition to this base salary and a competitive benefits package. Invitae offers a competitive total rewards package, which includes 401k with company match, an employee stock purchase program, 3 weeks paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and 8 weeks paid parental leave.
