Introduction

Verkada is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Computer Vision to join their team. The company is transforming physical security with an integrated, AI-powered platform for video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management. This role involves developing and deploying advanced computer vision solutions to enhance their product offerings.

Responsibilities

• Implement and deploy binary classifiers using TensorFlow to detect states across numerous cameras.
• Develop algorithms for detecting unusual object addition/removal in scenes.
• Create solutions for detecting and counting objects and people frequencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, ideally with research experience.
• 2+ years of industry software engineering experience.
• 1+ years of work or research experience with current neural network frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras).
• Mastery of at least one practical programming language.
• Experience working in an agile software development environment.
• Proficiency in writing clean, modular C++ code.
• Knowledge of traditional computer vision algorithms.
• Experience with data structures and architecture.
• Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week.
