Introduction

Rilla is on a mission to index the offline world by building leading sales coaching software. They enable AI sales coaching for over 1000 customers, including major players like The Home Depot. Backed by prominent venture capitalists, Rilla is an in-office NYC team focused on customer obsession, high velocity, and real-world impact. This role offers the opportunity to build foundational products and systems for capturing and indexing billions of real-world conversations.

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer on the Applied AI team, you will redefine human-machine interaction using voice, intelligence, and new data classes. Your daily tasks will include:

• Architecting and shipping AI-powered systems that enable natural language interaction with Rilla.
• Building agents that operate natively on real-world audio.
• Extracting unique insights from conversations.
• Pushing the boundaries of AI capabilities.
• Shaping the AI stack and driving the invention of new techniques, tooling, and models.
• Working across the entire AI lifecycle, from data acquisition to real-time inference and user-facing chat interfaces.
• Collaborating directly with customers to understand their needs and solve real-world problems.

Requirements

• Experience building and deploying AI/LLM systems in production.
• Familiarity with current AI tools: evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, and prompt engineering.
• Comfort in working directly with customers to understand their needs and solve real-world problems.
