About the Position

Introduction

BGD Labs is seeking a Smart Contracts Engineer to join their team. You will be working on implementing new features and maintaining Aave, a multi-billion DeFi protocol, and other cutting-edge DeFi and blockchain projects. The role requires deep experience with Ethereum or other EVM-based smart contract development, with a focus on high-quality Solidity code, architectural decisions, and robust security procedures.

Responsibilities

Design and implement secure and reliable applications in Solidity.
Write comprehensive documentation.
Perform internal quality control and audits of smart contracts, including code reviews and feedback on designs.
Collaborate effectively with frontend, backend, and other smart contract engineers.
Identify and resolve friction points to improve development process bottlenecks.
Maintain both high-level strategic thinking and low-level technical understanding, aligning with project goals.

Requirements

2+ years of relevant experience as a Smart Contract Developer (Solidity and optionally Vyper).
Passion for the DeFi and Web3 fields.
Proficiency in test-driven development.
Deep understanding of common Smart Contract vulnerabilities.
Exceptional strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills with a strong analytical mindset.
Profound understanding of the architecture of modern Web3 applications and backends.
English language fluency.
Ability to make informed decisions quickly.
Hands-on production experience with the Foundry framework.
Understanding of formal verification tools and fuzzing, with hands-on experience being a plus.
