They are currently seeking a Smart Contract Engineer to join their Layer 1 Engineering team, focusing on an Ethereum-like stack and the Autonity Project, an EVM-based public blockchain for decentralized derivatives clearing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain decentralized financial smart contracts on Autonity to enable the creation of decentralized risk markets in real-world risk factors.
• Work on a variety of problems including smart derivatives, DEX trading & settlement protocols, algorithmic stabilization, data oracles, and liquid staking.
• Translate research models and prototypes from quantitative researchers and protocol engineers into production-grade Solidity code.
• Collaborate with Autonity core developers to enhance L1 protocol contracts and integrate new functionality into the Autonity Go Client.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• 2+ years of smart contract programming experience in Solidity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of Eth1 protocols and proof-of-stake consensus.
• Understanding of the DeFi landscape and major DeFi primitives.
• Proficiency in Python programming and web3.py Ethereum development.
• Experience interfacing with data oracles and P2P data stores (e.g., IPFS).
• Experience working with third-party smart contract auditors.
• Contributed code to open-source projects in the Web3 space.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing, researching, or implementing Web3 protocols.
• Proficiency with the Python scientific computing stack (NumPy, Pandas, Jupyter).
