Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Senior WordPress Developer to assist with the development and optimization of a WordPress site built on the Genesis framework. This freelance role focuses on enhancing content display functionality and improving overall SEO performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a front-end filtering system for custom post types ('application') based on categories.
• Ensure users can view and click to open PDF files (managed via ACF custom file fields) associated with application posts in a new browser tab.
• Conduct a comprehensive SEO audit and implement improvements to enhance the website's search engine ranking and visibility.
• Ensure the website's front-end is responsive and user-friendly.
• Collaborate closely with the site owner to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.

Requirements

• Proven senior-level experience in WordPress development.
• Strong expertise with the Genesis Framework.
• Proficiency in Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), particularly with custom file fields.
• Demonstrable experience in implementing robust front-end filtering and display solutions.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with WordPress SEO best practices.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality code.

Nice to Have

• Experience with other WordPress page builders or frameworks.
• Familiarity with performance optimization techniques for WordPress.
