About the Position

Introduction

Pioneering Intelligence is seeking a Senior UX Designer to bridge human-AI interaction in the life sciences sector. This role focuses on architecting trust and efficient workflows for scientists collaborating with intelligent systems, moving beyond aesthetics to create functional tools that drive innovation in human health and sustainability.

Responsibilities

Define how humans interact with agentic AI within the life sciences.
Architect trust and workflows to facilitate collaboration between scientists and intelligent systems.
Take ownership of key product areas, transforming abstract AI behaviors into seamless, functional tools.
Utilize cutting-edge methodologies like "vibe coding" for prototyping and iterating on adaptive interfaces.
Work collaboratively with AI researchers and engineers to build automated systems and decision-support tools.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools to establish a scalable design system.
Ensure design systems handle unpredictable agentic workflows while maintaining high user trust.

Requirements

At least five years of experience in scientific or biotech design.
Passion for user-centered discovery.
Comfortable with the ambiguity inherent in startup environments.
Eager to apply modern AI tools, including LLM-based prototyping, to solve real-world problems.

Nice to Have

Experience leading design for a portfolio of AI-first companies.
Strong understanding of computational science and human-centered technology intersection.
