About the Position

Introduction

Responsibilities

Responsible for the technical security of a hybrid IT landscape, including VMware, Active Directory, and Google Workspace.
Handling, analyzing, and coordinating security alerts from security tooling, SOC, and SIEM solutions.
Performing incident analysis and guiding technical responses to security incidents.
Managing penetration tests and following up on findings and improvement measures.
Establishing and monitoring hardening guidelines for servers, workstations, and infrastructure components.
Supporting compliance and certification processes by implementing and documenting technical measures.
Translating security and compliance requirements into practical technical solutions.
Advising fellow system administrators on security-by-design and best practices.
Acting as a senior sparring partner for complex infrastructure issues and escalations.
Participating in on-call duty.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Administrator within complex IT environments.
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policies, and hardening of Windows environments.
Experience with VMware vSphere and server infrastructures.
Demonstrable experience or strong affinity with technical information security.
Knowledge of security monitoring, incident analysis, and security measures within infrastructure environments.
Affinity with compliance, audit, and ISMS processes.
HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level.
Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

Experience with Google Workspace is a plus.
Strong analytical skills, communicative, and able to engage colleagues on technical matters.

Benefits

Salary of €3,500 - €6,000 per month based on 36 hours, depending on demonstrable work experience.
End-of-year bonus of 8.33%.
Holiday pay 8.3% of gross annual salary.
25 vacation days + 0.5 day per quarter if no sick leave.
Travel allowance of €0.23/kilometer (maximum €300 per month).
Healthcare allowance of €50 per month.
