Senior System Administrator

Introduction

Are you ready to be the technical backbone of a complex, highly secured IT infrastructure that is crucial for our organization? In this role, you will combine your expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem with large-scale lifecycle management and automation. You will ensure that business-critical environments not only run stably but are continuously improved and optimized.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management & Optimization: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure the continuity of a variety of complex ICT environments.
• Lifecycle Management: Utilize your expertise to maintain, improve, and upgrade the Microsoft infrastructure.
• Patch Management & Deployment: Manage software updates and upgrades on a release basis using SCCM and WSUS.
• Platform Automation: Script repetitive tasks and management processes with PowerShell.
• Architecture & Design: Develop high-level and low-level designs.
• Security & Hardening: Conduct FIT-GAP analyses and apply strict security guidelines to 'harden' environments in accordance with laws and regulations.
• Knowledge Transfer & Support: Act as a 2nd/3rd line point of contact and provide technical backup for fellow system administrators.
• Process Monitoring: Adhere to and monitor standard work processes, preferably in accordance with the Integrated Service Management (ISM) philosophy.

Requirements

• Education Level: HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level.
• Platform Knowledge: Up-to-date certifications and demonstrable extensive experience with the Windows platform (Server 2016 and higher).
• Directory Services: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services (including Group Policies, Share and NTFS permissions, DNS, and DHCP).
• Cloud & Messaging: Experience with Microsoft Exchange (2019+) and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Deployment Tooling: Solid knowledge and experience with SCCM/WSUS patch management and deployments.
• Scripting: Strong skills in PowerShell scripting.
• Quality Orientation: A proactive, analytical, and independent work attitude where accurate documentation is self-evident for you.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
