As a Senior Staff ML Engineer, you will spearhead the creation of automated systems that safeguard digital infrastructure. You'll be responsible for building the AI-driven engine behind the Splunk Observability Cloud, focusing on predictive intelligence and self-healing systems that analyze petabytes of telemetry data.

Introduction

As a Senior Staff ML Engineer at Cisco, you will lead the development of AI-driven automated systems to protect digital infrastructure. Your core responsibility will be to build the intelligence powering the Splunk Observability Cloud, focusing on predictive intelligence and self-healing systems that process vast amounts of telemetry data.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead the creation of automated systems for digital infrastructure safeguard.
• Build the AI-driven engine for Splunk Observability Cloud, focusing on predictive intelligence and self-healing.
• Analyze petabytes of telemetry data.
• Utilize AI-First Workflows with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot for accelerated development.
• Develop Agentic AI and RAG-based systems for real-time root-cause analysis.
• Orchestrate complex cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS.
• Act as a technical visionary, defining standards for AI trustworthiness and resilience within Cisco.
• Mentor team members in high-leverage development practices, staying at the forefront of generative AI research and modern software delivery.

Requirements

• Expertise in AI-First Workflows (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot).
• Experience with Advanced AI Architectures (Agentic AI, RAG).
• Proficiency in Cloud Infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS).
• Ability to act as a technical visionary and mentor.
• Bachelor's or postgraduate degree.
• 10+ years of experience.
