Senior Staff Engineer (f/m/d) – Computer Vision

As a Senior Staff Engineer (f/m/d) for Computer Vision, you will be part of our expanding Computer Vision team, which is a new and critical pillar of our Product function. Our ultimate goal is to generate process intelligence automatically, with state-of-the-art Computer Vision and Deep Learning techniques, just by looking at user screens! You will have the opportunity to take full ownership and responsibility of the whole lifecycle of some of our foundational Computer Vision components, leading its design, architecture, implementation, and deployment in coordination with your team and other Product teams. You will work on challenging research and engineering problems at scale, push the boundaries of what is possible with Computer Vision, and directly contribute to the success of Celonis.

What you’ll do:

• Own the full lifecycle of multiple foundational Computer Vision components, from ideation to production deployment, in coordination with your team and other Product teams.
• Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of highly scalable, reliable, and performant Computer Vision components and systems.
• Propose, research, and evaluate new Computer Vision and Deep Learning ideas, concepts, and techniques within the team and other senior engineers.
• Collaborate closely with other senior engineers, product managers, and researchers to drive innovation and contribute to the overall product vision.
• Act as a mentor and technical lead for junior engineers, actively contributing to their professional growth and development.
• Be part of a high-impact team, which plays a pivotal role in the future of Celonis’ products.

The qualifications you need:

• BS, MS, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of industry experience in Computer Vision and/or Deep Learning.
• Extensive experience in designing, building, and deploying highly scalable, reliable, and performant Computer Vision components and systems in a production environment.
• Deep understanding of a wide range of Computer Vision and Deep Learning techniques (object detection, segmentation, OCR, feature extraction, etc.).
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence technical direction.
• Excellent programming skills in Python.
• Proficiency with one or more Deep Learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
