Introduction

Bitso, the leading cryptocurrency platform in Latin America, is seeking a Senior Specialist, Product FP&A to drive financial partnership with our Product and Growth teams. This role is crucial for delivering rigorous modeling, forecasting, and data-driven insights that directly shape strategic decisions at the highest levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with key cross-functional business partners and stakeholders across the organization.
• Partner directly with Product/Growth teams, providing actionable insights from data-driven analytics to facilitate strategic business decision-making and support the launch of new features, products, or campaigns.
• Enhance key company-wide financial and strategic planning processes (e.g., quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting, long-range planning), focusing on streamlining, scenario modeling, and risk/opportunity assessments.
• Analyze operational performance against monthly KPIs, plans, and forecasts, recommending actions to improve performance.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial monthly/quarterly/annual variance analysis and report findings to business units, articulating the big-picture story of business financial results.
• Maintain long-term financial models and monitor changes to assumptions.
• Proactively identify and contribute to improvements in current processes, reports, and models by leveraging AI, financial data, non-financial data, external benchmarks, and/or prior industry experiences.
• Collaborate with the Data team to ensure consistency and reliability of key data, assisting in the design and validation of new metrics/models/dashboards.
• Build, automate, and maintain business dashboards, reporting, analysis, and metrics, including in-depth analytics of key metrics such as LTV, ARPU, CAC, and Payback.
• Contribute to the preparation of Board materials and other key internal and external deliverables.
• Support other ad-hoc strategic and analytical projects as business needs evolve.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a financial/analytical role.
• Experience at a high-growth tech company is a must; background in Fintech, Crypto, investment banking, or consulting is highly valuable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with very strong Google Sheets/Excel and Google Slides/PowerPoint skills.
• Hands-on experience pulling and analyzing complex data; excellent financial modeling skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently and proactively to deliver accurate, high-quality outputs.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and eagerness to build strong partnerships and communicate with multiple cross-functional partners/stakeholders; possess the confidence and tact required to express views to both senior stakeholders and peers.
• Strategic prowess and confidence to make decisions and recommendations in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment; able to form a well-reasoned point of view with incomplete information and influence decisions across the business without direct authority.
• Strong business acumen; brings new ideas to Bitso; escalates situations to the manager when appropriate.
• Highly skilled at figuring out and managing the processes and timelines necessary to get work accomplished; consistent track record of successfully building processes and procedures that can scale during high-growth periods.
• Deeply curious by nature and passionate about solving complex, impactful problems; uses an organized, logical approach to get into the details, identify root causes, and proactively propose solutions.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and writing skills with the proven ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple, easy-to-understand way; ability to accurately tell the story behind the numbers in a compelling manner to influence senior leadership.
• Demonstrated high sense of urgency and responsibility; proactive in investigating and resolving issues.
• Strong bias towards action and pursuing continuous improvement; excitement to embrace new ways of doing things, including automating functions leveraging AI.
• Sets a benchmark for ethical conduct, maintaining the highest standards of honesty and integrity.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a FinTech or Crypto-specific environment.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and building interactive dashboards.
• Proficiency in SQL or other data querying languages.
