Klaviyo is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our thriving company, building delightful user-facing products to help merchants grow. At Klaviyo, engineering teams are responsible for end-to-end service ownership, from working with product managers and designers to define requirements to deploying and operating the services we build. We work in a highly collaborative environment in distributed teams, where individuals with diverse perspectives and experiences come together to solve tough problems at scale. Senior engineers at Klaviyo are empowered to own technical designs, drive projects from inception to completion, and mentor their peers to help the team grow. You will join one of our Product Engineering teams responsible for building services and features on our Product platform. This includes designing, building, and maintaining the systems required to give our users new capabilities as well as improving existing ones on our application. We work in the following tech stack: Python, Django, React, Typescript, GraphQL, and AWS technologies. What are the skills you’ll need?

8+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer 4+ years of professional experience with Python/Django or other backend technologies + ability to learn and adapt quickly 4+ years of professional experience with React/Typescript or other frontend technologies + ability to learn and adapt quickly Experience designing, building, and operating highly scalable, reliable, and observable distributed systems Experience with GraphQL is a plus
