We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Client Platform team. In this role, you will focus on building the foundational elements of our React Native-based mobile application, ensuring excellent performance on both Android and iOS. You will serve as the primary expert for all React Native-related aspects, collaborating with Electron and web counterparts to enhance app performance and enable feature teams to deliver cross-platform solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Front’s cross-platform client-side codebase.
• Improve the user experience of our React Native mobile app.
• Optimize performance and expose native Android and/or iOS APIs by working at the native level.
• Act as a cross-functional and cross-team subject matter expert for the Android and/or iOS ecosystem.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to other engineers within the team.

Requirements

• Experience building and maintaining fast, reliable, real-time mobile applications.
• Experience with C/C++ and React Native.
• Product-minded: committed to building the best user experience.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative, and high-growth environment.
• Understand the trade-offs involved in different engineering solutions, prioritizing pragmatism over idealism.

Nice to Have

• Experience with JNI, Android NDK, and Kotlin.
• Experience with TypeScript.
