Introduction

Traba is building the AI operating layer for the industrial supply chain, starting with workforce solutions like temp staffing. They leverage proprietary data and deep enterprise relationships to develop applied AI that enhances productivity and transforms global supply chain operations. Backed by Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures, and General Catalyst, Traba is expanding its product to include an agentic platform that synthesizes marketplace data and autonomously operates within customer supply chain workflows.

Responsibilities

• Embed with customers and operators to deeply understand supply chain operations and design/ship agents that automate meaningful tasks.
• Build production agent systems using frontier LLMs, incorporating tool use, sub-agents, retrieval, structured outputs, MCP servers, and orchestration layers.
• Lead evaluation as a first-class discipline: build datasets from real traces, define rubrics and graders, run experiments, and implement data-driven improvements.
• Architect and build the data, services, and APIs for the agent layer, integrating with internal systems and customer environments (WMS, TMS, ERP).
• Codify repeatable deployment patterns to streamline and enhance the reliability of customer rollouts.
• Contribute significantly to product direction, hiring, and shaping the engineering culture as a key member of a founding team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 1+ year shipping LLM- or agent-based features into production.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js.
• Comfort designing APIs, distributed systems, and data models in PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with modern agent stacks: production-scale prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks (e.g., Langfuse, Braintrust), agent orchestration patterns, and frontier model APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.).
• Proven track record of building and shipping in fast, ambiguous environments, ideally at an early-stage vertical AI, AI-agent, FDE-style (Palantir, Scale), or data-product company (Hex, Omni, dbt).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of leading customer workshops and writing clear design documentation.
• Genuine enthusiasm for industrial operations and leveraging applied AI for significant improvements.
