Introduction

As a Senior Security Operations Analyst, you ensure that cyberattacks do not impact essential services. You monitor the digital heart of critical infrastructure and contribute directly to the digital resilience of the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Detect, analyze, and handle complex cyber incidents within business-critical environments.
• Lead incident response processes, from triage and containment to post-incident evaluation.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting focused on protecting essential services.
• Develop and improve detection logic and SOC-use cases based on current threats.
• Analyze malware and investigate attack techniques, tactics, and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on forensics and vulnerabilities.
• Coach and guide SOC analysts and actively contribute to the further maturation of the SOC.

Requirements

• Completed HBO or WO education in Cyber Security, Informatics, Information Security, or similar.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience within Security Operations, Incident Response, or Threat Detection (senior/Tier 3).
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Sentinel and the Defender XDR-stack.
• Strong skills in KQL and detection engineering.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, Windows, Azure, and network security.
• Excellent command of Dutch (minimum B2) and English.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

• Experience with scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell).
• Experience with malware analysis, forensic investigation, or vulnerability management.
