About the Position

Introduction

Backbase is seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join their team in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This role involves ensuring the quality and reliability of a cutting-edge banking platform by designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for the banking platform.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
Identify, document, and track software defects, and work with development teams for timely resolution.
Collaborate with product owners and developers to understand project requirements and ensure testability of features.
Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on test coverage and quality.
Automate test cases using appropriate tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
Stay updated with industry best practices and new technologies in software quality assurance.
Mentor and guide junior QA engineers.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on web and mobile applications.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
Proven experience in designing and executing complex test plans and test cases.
Proficiency in test automation using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
