Introduction

As a technological partner, Sopra Steria works on various solutions. This means you will be working with your team on different assignments, applying your Python development expertise to cutting-edge projects.

Responsibilities

• Bring a Proof of Concept (PoC) utilizing one or more AI models to a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) using FastAPI and Python.
• Develop image recognition applications.
• Work in a Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and/or Test-Driven Development (TDD) Agile environment.
• Implement data models that predict, for example, the number of travelers in public transport or the amount of wind or solar energy to be stored.
• Conduct AI Research to improve Natural Language Processing (NLP) models and implement these models in applications that assist in document searching.
• Build applications that help specialists collect and analyze data for security risks (Flask) or verify document authenticity (Django).
• Contribute to discussions regarding the implementation of OpenShift.
• Convert CI/CD Jenkins pipelines to Azure pipelines.
• Collaborate on defining steps to run applications in a Kubernetes cluster (e.g., with Helm, Dockerfile, Podman).
• Select and implement new frameworks, such as FastAPI.
• Make existing unit and integration tests meaningful.
• Introduce and discuss ideas within the team to drive progress.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with at least 2 frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience with and ability to apply testing methodologies (unit, integration, acceptance tests).
• In-depth knowledge and application of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or OpenShift.
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Experience working in accordance with DevOps principles.
• Ability to contribute to software architecture and technical design.
• Enjoys working in a team.
• Experience with knowledge sharing and mentoring colleagues.
• Possess a positive mindset and a solution-oriented attitude.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent relevant education.
• Must hold a Dutch passport and reside in the Netherlands.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

• A permanent contract and a salary between €4,200 and a maximum of €6,500 per month (based on 40 hours per week). The exact salary depends on your experience.
• A generous mobility budget in the form of a lease arrangement of min. €1,022 and max. €1,209, with the choice of an electric lease car with NS Business Card or lease bicycle, or an alternative transport arrangement of min. €930 and max. €1,113. Whatever best suits your travel needs.
