Senior Platform Engineer

Introduction

We opened the doors of our Business Development Centre (BDC) in the heart of Hyderabad in December 2020. Young at heart, the BDC is a wonderful space that fosters collaboration and innovation. We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and other stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable platform solutions.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and ensure high-quality releases.
• Design and deploy infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, leveraging tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain system stability and performance.
• Develop and enforce best practices for security, reliability, and scalability across the platform.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on our platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Extensive experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Scripting skills in languages like Python, Go, or Bash.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to system reliability.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with blockchain technologies or distributed ledger systems.
• Knowledge of FinTech domain or banking industry.
• Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Contributions to open-source projects.
