We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior People Operations Specialist to join our dynamic HR team at Backbase. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support across various HR functions, ensuring a seamless and positive employee experience. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and a passion for fostering a thriving workplace culture. Responsibilities

• Manage and administer employee benefits programs (e.g., health insurance, life insurance, pension plans, etc.).
• Conduct regular market research and compensation analysis to ensure competitive and equitable pay structures.
• Support annual salary review and bonus cycles.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in our HRIS (Workday) and other HR systems.
• Generate HR reports and analytics to support decision-making and identify trends.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
• Support the implementation and administration of performance management processes (e.g., goal setting, performance reviews, feedback cycles).
• Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance-related matters.
• Assist in resolving employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
• Support employee engagement initiatives and programs to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
• Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Facilitate smooth and efficient onboarding processes for new hires, including orientation and paperwork completion.
• Manage offboarding processes, including exit documentation, final pay calculations, and benefit terminations.
• Ensure HR policies and procedures are up-to-date, legally compliant, and effectively communicated to employees.
• Stay informed about changes in labor laws and regulations to ensure continuous compliance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in People Operations or HR roles, with a focus on compensation & benefits, HRIS, and performance management.
• Solid understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Fluency in English is a must-have.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Workday is highly preferred.
• HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, HRCI-PHR) is a plus.
