Introduction

Backbase is seeking a Senior Partnerships Manager to join our vibrant London team. This role involves developing key relationships with various ecosystem partners and collaborating with senior leaders to influence and execute our global strategic partnership program. You will thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, navigating and influencing stakeholders across product, engineering, legal, alliances, marketing, and sales.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage existing strategic alliances (consultancies, systems integrators, ISV players) across defined market segments & geographies in the UK & Europe.
• Lead new strategic partnership opportunities from initiation (sourcing, due diligence, business case) through to negotiation and contract execution.
• Build and maintain a strong network of senior stakeholders, both internally and with ecosystem partners.
• Enable partners to successfully implement and promote Backbase products in relevant markets.
• Collaborate closely with the Alliances team to execute the partner program with speed and scale.
• Work with regional sales teams and global sales leadership to drive pipeline creation and growth.
• Define, track, and report on global alliance KPIs/metrics and proactively course-correct when needed.
• Manage multiple large-scale and complex strategic alliances.
• Maintain a strong understanding of Backbase's product offering and competitive landscape.

Requirements

• 8+ years hands-on experience in building and managing senior strategic partnerships and alliances in the financial services/software industry.
• Proven track record of successful deal execution and alliance management with global and regional system integrators, consulting firms, and ISV (SaaS) vendors.
• Commercially astute with demonstrable experience leveraging strategic alliances to drive new business (direct and indirect).
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills (English).
• Adaptable to changing priorities, capable of managing time, setting priorities, and achieving goals effectively.
• Ideally, prior experience working for a SaaS-based company and/or an enterprise software vendor.
