Senior Oracle APEX Developer

Introduction

Our partner within the Dutch central government is seeking a Senior Oracle APEX Developer. If you are proficient in APEX and/or PL/SQL and wish to apply your skills to improve processes, read on!

As a Senior Oracle APEX Developer, you will be responsible for managing and further developing the application. The current focus is 70% on further development and 30% on management, with the new construction phase largely completed. You will work in an Agile DevOps team and actively contribute to CI/CD, test automation, and continuous improvement of the platform. The team meets on-site every Monday; otherwise, you can flexibly schedule your week.

Responsibilities

• Further development of existing functionality within Oracle APEX and PL/SQL
• Solving bugs and incidents
• Translating functional specifications into technical designs
• Realizing and improving CI/CD pipelines
• Independently performing tests, in addition to regression and functional testing by dedicated testers
• Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of the platform
• Collaborating within the DevOps team using Scrum

Requirements

• HBO/WO (Higher Professional Education/University) thinking level
• Extensive experience with Oracle APEX and PL/SQL
• Experience with CI/CD processes
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and DevOps teams
• Knowledge of information security and lifecycle management
• Experience with independently performing tests
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

• Salary of €4,000 - €6,000 per month (based on 36 hours per week), according to CAO Rijksoverheid (Collective Labor Agreement for Central Government).

About Company

You will work within the team of a central platform that acts as a connecting link between policy administration systems and Oracle EBS. This platform manages the processing of policy funds and ensures uniform validations and settlements towards Oracle EBS. This means that primary systems do not need to develop financial processing themselves, as it is handled centrally through this platform. The platform is part of an implementation organization within the Central Government and plays a crucial role in the financial settlement of policy funds.
