Introduction

Outpost is seeking a Senior Network & Linux Systems Engineer to manage and automate the digital infrastructure for their physical logistics network. This high-leverage position focuses on building scalable, automated systems, moving away from manual maintenance towards agentic workflows and automated site provisioning. The role involves overseeing a distributed fleet of NVIDIA Jetson edge devices and Ubuntu nodes, ensuring stable networking across truck terminals.

Responsibilities

• Manage the digital backbone of Outpost's physical logistics network.
• Oversee a distributed fleet of NVIDIA Jetson edge devices and Ubuntu nodes.
• Ensure stable networking across truck terminals.
• Leverage AI agents to eliminate repetitive operational tasks and maintain Python and Bash scripts using tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
• Actively build end-to-end agentic workflows for routine access requests and configuration changes.
• Lead critical migrations (e.g., from Windows to Linux).
• Design provisioning systems capable of bringing new sites online rapidly.
• Delegate manual labor to Large Language Models (LLMs).

Requirements

• Systems expertise in managing digital infrastructure.
• Experience with NVIDIA Jetson edge devices and Ubuntu nodes.
• Strong networking knowledge for distributed environments.
• Proficiency in GCP and Linux infrastructure.
• Experience with AI agents and tools like Cursor or Claude Code for script maintenance.
• Ability to delegate manual tasks to LLMs.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog.
• Familiarity with VPN Management, Firewall Configuration.
• Knowledge of Edge Computing, IoT Device Management.
