About the Position

Introduction

Are you an experienced Network Architect with broad multi-vendor knowledge and a passion for complex infrastructures? In this role, you will combine technical depth with innovation and enterprise-level architecture. You will design and optimize high-end network environments within both private and public clouds.

Responsibilities

Design and further develop complex network infrastructures in data center and cloud environments.
Prepare High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD).
Integrate advanced security measures such as NGFW, IPS/IDS, and DDoS protection.
Design and manage environments with routers, switches, firewalls, WAFs, and load balancers.
Implement spine-leaf architectures and high-availability solutions.
Advise on innovative network and cloud solutions within multidisciplinary teams.
Coordinate with international colleagues and security specialists.

Requirements

Must-haves:

HBO/WO (higher professional education/university) work and thinking level.
Demonstrable experience as a Network Architect or senior network engineer.
Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, and Aruba.
In-depth knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLAN, MPLS/VPLS, VPN (IPsec), NAC, and routing concepts.
Experience with firewall policies (FortiGate, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA) and WAF integrations.
Experience with public cloud networking (Azure and/or AWS).
Excellent command of Dutch and English.

Nice-to-haves:

Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet (FGTA/FGSP), AZ-700, AWS Architect.
Knowledge of ITIL, TOGAF, or Archimate.
Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Benefits

Hours: 32–40 hours per week.
Permanent contract after a secondment period (Deta-vast).
Market-conform salary: €4,500 - €7,500 gross per month based on 40 hours.
