Introduction

As a Senior Mendix Developer at Sopra Steria, you will be responsible for designing and realizing complex, business-critical applications. You will oversee the entire landscape and translate business challenges into robust and future-proof solutions. You play a central role within projects, from initial analysis to implementation and further development. You interact with stakeholders at various levels, translating their needs into clear technical choices and architecture. Additionally, you will take a leading role within the team, ensuring work quality, promoting best practices, and helping colleagues develop further. You will actively contribute to the evolution of the Mendix proposition and working methods within the practice.

Responsibilities

• Design and build complex Mendix applications.
• Translate business challenges into architecture and solutions.
• Determine technical direction and make design choices.
• Realize and oversee integrations within enterprise environments.
• Coach and guide (junior/medior) developers.
• Monitor quality, performance, and scalability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on solutions, impact, and strategy.

Requirements

• Completed HBO or WO education in an IT field with several years of experience in software development in professional environments.
• Minimum of 5 years of Mendix experience, capable of independently designing and realizing complex applications and projects.
• Extensive experience with architectural issues and integrations (such as REST APIs, microservices, and databases) within enterprise environments.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, guiding teams in technical choices, quality, and best practices.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

• Permanent contract with a salary between €4,500 and €6,000 gross per month (based on 40 hours per week), depending on experience and role.
