Introduction

Sopra Steria is seeking a (Senior) Manager Financial Services Consulting to lead transformations in the rapidly evolving financial sector. In this role, you will work directly with executives and senior stakeholders to realize strategic and technological transformations at banks, insurers, and pension funds.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex transformation programs for banks, insurers, fintechs, and pension funds.
• Advise executives and senior management on digital strategy.
• Contribute to the further development of the Financial Services consulting practice.
• Translate strategic goals into roadmaps and implementation plans.
• Support decision-making in steering groups and executive boards.
• Oversee planning, risks, dependencies, and quality of programs.
• Develop propositions and thought leadership.
• Build client relationships and identify new opportunities.
• Mentor consultants and foster team growth.

Requirements

• University degree (WO), preferably in Business, IT, and/or Economics.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in consulting, transformation, or program management within the financial sector.
• Proven experience with delivery leadership: successfully led complex projects or programs at banks, insurers, or pension funds.
• Experience as an advisor, project manager, program manager, or change manager in a regulated environment.
• Experience with commercial responsibility in a content-driven role: account development, business development, proposals, and propositions.
• A strong network within the Dutch financial sector.
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant laws and regulations within Financial Services.
• Strong stakeholder management skills: ability to engage with management, business, IT, and risk & compliance.
• Excellent proficiency in both Dutch and English, written and spoken.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of (IT) Operating Models or enterprise architecture.
• Experience with Agile/SAFe transformations, DevOps implementations, or ways of working changes in the financial sector.
• Knowledge of data & AI strategies, GenAI use cases, data governance, or advanced analytics in the financial sector.
• Experience with cybersecurity, financial crime prevention, or identity & access management.
• Familiarity with Open Finance, Instant Payments, PSD2/PSD3.

• Permanent contract with a salary between €5,000 and €8,700 gross per month (based on 40 hours per week), depending on experience and level (Manager or Senior Manager).
