About the Position

MixMob is an innovative Solana game centered on Remix Culture, aiming to establish a player-owned gaming platform that rewards creativity and style alongside skill. The company believes in the future of gaming lies in merging play-and-earn models with user-generated content. Players embody their avatars and progress through their MixBots and NFT collections, showcasing their style and skill both in-game and in real life. MixMob boasts a team of seasoned gaming veterans from companies like FIFA, Halo, Battlefield, and PokerStars, and is backed by prominent crypto investors and guilds including DeFiance, Solana Ventures, and Merit Circle.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of the React codebase and contribute significantly to its evolution.
Collaborate closely with the external Unity Game Dev team to ensure efficient integration with the multiplayer gaming platform.
Initiate, design, and build an API for player data management.
Work closely with the crypto services team to ensure secure and speedy transactions.
Identify technical issues proactively and contribute to the creation of technical briefs.
Contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
Provide concise and valuable insights to the leadership team.
Maintain high-quality standards for the game while remaining lean and agile.
Create innovative solutions for significant challenges, including tools and services.
Approach product and feature development with user needs first, focusing on MixMob's unique user experience.
Assist with MixMob’s CI/CD pipelines when required.
Fully embrace the MixMob ecosystem, technically, creatively, and culturally.
Actively participate in attracting, interviewing, and recruiting engineers.
Provide technical leadership in software development, including code reviews, automated testing, and scheduling.
Review technical designs to ensure scalability and robustness, maintaining a high-quality bar for code, unit tests, and technical architecture.

Requirements

BS or greater, preferably in a science or engineering discipline, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of professional experience in software development.
Production experience with React/Node, JavaScript, and C#.
Experience developing for a multi-tenant cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Experience with Gitflow, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
Experience designing and developing for large, horizontally scalable, high-transaction volume systems.
Self-driven: able to innovate, plan, and execute with autonomy.
Experience using JIRA, Notion, and other project management tools in a production environment.
Demonstrated ability to produce project results.
