Introduction

At Mercury, we are dedicated to creating an exceptional banking experience for startups. Our product engineering group is expanding, and we are looking for senior full-stack engineers who are pragmatic, product-minded, and motivated by the desire to build beloved products that free our customers from the burdens of frustrating legacy industry tools. We believe in the elegance of simplicity in engineering, akin to how a trim tab simplifies flight control, making complex tasks graceful and manageable.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate a strong sense of product ownership and proactively seek responsibility, often self-organizing on small to medium projects.
• Contribute to shaping and building Mercury's future in an autonomous environment within a close-knit team that feels like a “startup within a startup.”
• Collaborate closely with designers and product leaders to deliver delightful user experiences that transcend the status quo for banking and fintech software.
• Join an experienced product engineering team within one of Mercury’s product groups, such as Banking, Experiences, Expansion, or Risk.

Requirements

• 3-7 years of full-stack development experience.
• Knowledge of or enthusiasm to learn Haskell, React, TypeScript, and Redux.
• Ability to empathize with users and channel their perspective to create lovable products.
• Skill in balancing tradeoffs and finding creative solutions to achieve goals.
• Effective communication and collaboration with peers and cross-functional counterparts.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the FinTech or SaaS industry.
