Introduction

Sopra Steria is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to join their JSRoots practice in Nieuwegein, Netherlands. You will contribute to tailored, end-to-end software solutions for large organizations and semi-government entities, focusing on modernizing web applications and optimizing user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Rewrite existing monolithic frontend applications into modern microfrontend architectures.
• Optimize load times and performance for complex Single Page Applications (SPAs).
• Implement Design Systems with components in React, Vue, or Angular.
• Migrate legacy UIs to modern stacks using technologies like React and TypeScript.
• Set up frontend CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Vite, Webpack, Jest, and Cypress.
• Integrate Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) to support offline functionalities.
• Advise on UX/UI optimizations and accessibility (WCAG) within organizations.
• Work with APIs and state management solutions like Redux, Vuex, or Recoil.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in frontend development.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• Experience with TypeScript and component-based development.
• Knowledge of CSS-in-JS, Styled Components, Tailwind CSS, or other modern styling solutions.
• Experience with testing methodologies (unit, integration, end-to-end testing) and tools like Jest, Testing Library, or Cypress.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles for frontend development.
• Experience working in an agile scrum environment.
• Ability to contribute to software architecture and technical design.
• Enjoys working in a team.
• Positive mindset and solution-oriented attitude.
• Able to share knowledge and experience with pleasure.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent relevant education.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).

Benefits

• Permanent contract.
• Salary between €4,500 and €6,500 gross per month (based on 40 hours per week), depending on experience and role.
