Senior Finance & Control Specialist

Introduction

As Head of Administration & Control, you are responsible for the financial foundation of the organization. You not only manage the figures but also translate them into concrete insights for management. You combine hands-on execution with strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Lead the administration and ensure efficient and accurate financial administration (accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank, balance sheet).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Play an active role in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
• Analyze financial results and prepare management reports.
• Develop and monitor internal controls (administrative organization/internal control).
• Optimize financial processes and systems (AFAS).
• Act as a sparring partner for management on financial matters.
• Guide audits and serve as a contact person for external parties (accountants, banks).

Requirements

• Completed HBO/WO degree in Finance (e.g., Accountancy, Business Economics).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role, preferably in a dynamic environment.
• In-depth knowledge of AFAS Profit is an absolute must.
• Strong analytical skills and a proactive, results-oriented attitude.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to report clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Experience with process optimization and implementing new systems is a plus.
• Good command of both Dutch and English, written and spoken.
• Dutch language skills preferred (working knowledge required for this role based in the Netherlands).
